What you'll do

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of complex, high-impact features, designing and scaling the systems that enable our clinical team to deliver personalized care

  • Collaborate on designing and implementing new systems that enable our clinical team to deliver personalized, data-driven care

  • Architect and build robust AI-powered agents and workflows that directly enhance clinician efficiency and improve patient outcomes

  • Enhance our mobile and web platforms, ensuring a seamless, highly reliable experience that keeps parents and families supported throughout their journey

  • Partner cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and clinical staff to translate ambiguous user needs into elegant, scalable technical solutions

Who you are

  • 5+ years of experience building, shipping, and maintaining high-quality software systems in a production environment

  • A product-minded engineer who thrives on owning outcomes, navigating ambiguity, and seeing your work have a direct impact on users

  • Have proficiency in one or more languages like Java, C#, Kotlin, Python, Go, or similar

  • Have experience developing applications with modern front-end frameworks like React or Vue.js

  • Passionate about leveraging LLMs and agentic tooling to multiply your own engineering output and to build innovative product features

  • Enjoy tackling complex problems and avoid unnecessary complexity

  • Prior experience in AI/ML, natural language processing, or building agent-based systems in a fast-paced, product-oriented environment is highly preferred

  • Have worked in an early stage, fast-paced, product-oriented environment

  • Have a strong foundation in computer science, typically from a bachelor's or master's degree, or equivalent professional experience

Compensation

The expected base salary range offered for this role is $160,000 - $220,000. This role is also eligible for equity, giving you an ownership stake in Pomelo’s mission. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, competencies, and certifications.
